Our hat design was inspired by the 1958 film “The Blob” in all of its gloopy sci-fi glory (starring Steve McQueen in his first starring role!) and the 1988 remake (featuring Kevin Dillon and Shawnee Smith) which is full of everything you could want in an 80s horror flick: angsty teens, motorcycle stunts, government coverups, and gory special effects!
